Lactic Acid/Salicylic Acid/Urea is used for:

Treating dry, rough, scaly skin caused by certain conditions (eg, dermatitis, psoriasis, eczema, corns, calluses). It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.

Lactic Acid/Salicylic Acid/Urea is a keratolytic. It works by helping to loosen and shed hard, scaly skin.

Do NOT use Lactic Acid/Salicylic Acid/Urea if:

  • you are allergic to any ingredient in Lactic Acid/Salicylic Acid/Urea

Contact your doctor or health care provider right away if any of these apply to you.

Before using Lactic Acid/Salicylic Acid/Urea :

Some medical conditions may interact with Lactic Acid/Salicylic Acid/Urea . Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any medical conditions, especially if any of the following apply to you:

  • if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding
  • if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement
  • if you have allergies to medicines, foods, or other substances
  • if the affected area is damaged or severely irritated

Some MEDICINES MAY INTERACT with Lactic Acid/Salicylic Acid/Urea . Because little, if any, of Lactic Acid/Salicylic Acid/Urea is absorbed into the blood, the risk of it interacting with another medicine is low.

Ask your health care provider if Lactic Acid/Salicylic Acid/Urea may interact with other medicines that you take. Check with your health care provider before you start, stop, or change the dose of any medicine.

How to use Lactic Acid/Salicylic Acid/Urea :

Use Lactic Acid/Salicylic Acid/Urea as directed by your doctor. Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions.

  • Wash your hands immediately before and after using Lactic Acid/Salicylic Acid/Urea unless your hands are part of the treated area.
  • Apply Lactic Acid/Salicylic Acid/Urea to the affected skin as directed by your doctor. Rub in gently until the medicine is completely absorbed.
  • If you miss a dose of Lactic Acid/Salicylic Acid/Urea and you are using it regularly, use it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not use 2 doses at once.

Important safety information:

  • Lactic Acid/Salicylic Acid/Urea is for external use only. Do not get it in your eyes, nose, mouth, or on your lips. If you get it in any of these areas, rinse right away with cool water.
  • Do not use more than the recommended dose or use for longer than prescribed without checking with your doctor.
  • Do not use Lactic Acid/Salicylic Acid/Urea for other skin conditions at a later time.
  • PREGNANCY and BREAST-FEEDING: If you become pregnant, contact your doctor. You will need to discuss the benefits and risks of using Lactic Acid/Salicylic Acid/Urea while you are pregnant. It is not known if Lactic Acid/Salicylic Acid/Urea is found in breast milk. If you are or will be breast-feeding while you use Lactic Acid/Salicylic Acid/Urea , check with your doctor. Discuss any possible risks to your baby.

Possible side effects of Lactic Acid/Salicylic Acid/Urea :

All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects. Check with your doctor if any of these most COMMON side effects persist or become bothersome:

Mild, temporary burning, itching, irritation, or stinging.

Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur:

Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); redness; severe or persistent burning or irritation.

Proper storage of Lactic Acid/Salicylic Acid/Urea :

Store Lactic Acid/Salicylic Acid/Urea at room temperature, between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C). Do not freeze. Store away from heat and direct sunlight. Keep Lactic Acid/Salicylic Acid/Urea out of the reach of children and away from pets.
