Why it is prescribed (Indications) : 
This combination medication contains two antibiotics and a corticosteroid, prescribed for ear, eye and skin infections.  

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications): 


Category C : Animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in humans, but potential benefits may warrant use of the drug in pregnant women despite potential risks.

Dosage & When it is to be taken : 
Ear Infection: 4 drops of the suspension should be instilled into the affected ear 3 or 4 times daily.
Ophthalmic- Instill 1 or 2 drops into the affected eyes every 3 to 4 hours.
Skin: Apply a thin layer of this cream into the affected area.

How it should be taken : 
It comes as cream, ointment, eye and ear drops to apply topically.

Warnings and Precautions : 
* Caution should be exercised in patients with history of kidney disease, heart attack, diabetes, increased eye pressure, cataracts, perforated eardrum, poor blood circulation, immune disorder, any allergy, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
* Avoid long-term use of this medication; otherwise it may cause secondary infection.

Side Effects : 
Burning, itching, irritation, dryness, inflammation of hair follicles, abnormal hair growth in body, pimples, eruptions, pigmentation, secondary infection, skin scar, stretch marks and sweat rash.

Other Precautions : 
* Avoid excess dosage.
