Why it is prescribed (Indications) : This medication is a corticosteroid, prescribed for skin disorders including eczema, psoriasis and lichen sclerosis. The medication reduces the action of chemicals that causes inflammation and redness.  

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications): 


Category C : Animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in humans, but potential benefits may warrant use of the drug in pregnant women despite potential risks.

Dosage & When it is to be taken : Apply a thin layer to the affected skin area twice daily, rub gently.

How it should be taken : It comes as a cream or ointment to apply over the affected area.

Warnings and Precautions : 
* Caution should be exercised in patients with history of skin infection, cuts, scrapes, recent vaccination, elderly, children,any allergy, during pregnancy and lactation.
*For external use only; avoid contact with your eyes, mouth, or nose.
*It should not be used in children less than 18 years old.

Side Effects : 
Local- Infection/irritation, itching and cracking.

Other Precautions : 
*Wash your hands thoroughly after applying this medication.

Storage Conditions : 
Store it at room temperature.
